Overview

The Directorate of Technology comprises Software Development and Data Science units.  It focuses on designing and implementing innovative software solutions and leveraging data science methodologies to improve government service delivery. It oversees the coordination, planning, implementation, and management of these solutions, aiming to optimize operational efficiency and foster digital transformation across various sectors of governance.

Key Functions

  • Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with GoSL's digital transformation agenda.
  • Support MDAs in the planning, implementation and maintenance of software and data solutions.
  • Lead the planning, design, implementation and management of software and data solutions for effective service delivery across government MDAs.
  • Collaborate with MDAs and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs and priorities.
  • Offer data-driven insights for strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure for efficient storage.
  • Collaborate with MDAs and other stakeholders to identify relevant data sources and define KPIs.
  • Oversee technology initiatives for timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Explore emerging technologies for innovation within government operations.
