Deputy Minister of Communications, Technology & Innovation

Paul Hinga Tucker is the Deputy Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation. He brings over 20 years of experience in public service, transport management, and development leadership.
Before his appointment, he served as Deputy Director General at the Sierra Leone Public Transport Authority (SLPTA) and Deputy General Manager at the Sierra Leone Road Transport Corporation (SLRTC), where he helped strengthen operations, improve service delivery, and drive institutional reforms.

Mr. Tucker has also worked with national and international organizations, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), African Minerals, and the People’s Agenda for Poverty Alleviation (PAPA–SL), focusing on project management, women’s economic empowerment, and youth development.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Relations. His professional training includes transport and project management programs in Israel and Ghana.
Fluent in English, Krio, and Mende, Mr. Tucker is known for his integrity, teamwork, and commitment to innovation and national progress.
