Orange Sierra Leone Introduces New CEO During Courtesy Visit to Minister

Orange Sierra Leone paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, to formally introduce Madam Aicha Touré as its new Chief Executive Officer, following the conclusion of Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah’s tenure.

The visit served as an official introduction and an opportunity to engage the Ministry on Orange Sierra Leone’s role within the country’s telecommunications sector. The visit focused on continued collaboration between government and industry, with attention to expanding digital access and strengthening the regulatory environment that supports sector growth.

Madam Touré brings over a decade of experience across telecommunications, technology, and financial services within the Orange Group. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Orange Money Mali, where she led the expansion of digital financial services and advanced financial inclusion. Earlier, as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Orange Mali, she played a key role in key projects including the rollout of 4G and the expansion of fibre infrastructure.

During the meeting, the Minister welcomed Madam Touré to Sierra Leone and acknowledged Orange Sierra Leone’s continued contribution to national connectivity and digital development.

The visit acknowledged Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah’s leadership in expanding Orange Sierra Leone’s network and digital services, and signalled continuity as the company builds on this foundation while maintaining close collaboration with government and sector partners.
